Roding ane Free Church

Weekly Activities at Roding Lane Free Church

Sunday - 10.30am.

Our Family worship on Sunday follows a mainly traditional style with organ, piano and a small music group, leading the worship in songs. Our Minister or a visiting preacher gives the Word. We use the N.I.V Version of the Bible although individuals may wish to follow in other versions. We celebrate The Lord's Supper on the first and third Sunday of the month during the Service.

Saturday - 7.30pm. - 9.00pm. Portuguese Service

We also have a Brazilian Fellowship using our premises every Saturday evening. These meeting are conducted in Portuguese but on the fourth Saturday of each month the service is conducted in English for those wishing to worship with them who are not familiar with the Portuguese language.

Monday Lunch for the over 50's

The Monday lunch takes place on the second Monday of the month from 12.30pm. until 2.00pm. It is a light lunch for those folk who are over 50 years old. It is not just for those who attend our church and there is an open invitation to bring friends of a similar age for a bowl of soup, a roll and cheese, followed by a dessert and tea or coffee. It presents an opportunity for those who are lonely or living alone to get out of the house and meet other folk over a satisfying lunch. It also provides those in similar circumstances an occasion to talk to each other. The meeting concludes with a short epilogue.

AMPM

The AMPM or Morning Prayer meeting takes place every Tuesday between 9.30am. and 10.00am. in the side hall. It is open to anyone who wishes to pray with others to pray for those who are unwell or who have problems. We also pray for our missionary contacts, the world and home situations and our mission as a church in our area. It is a very rewarding time and allows us to share our concerns with God and give praise for the things he is doing in our lives and the life of our church.
